PRIMARY SCHOOL
The primary school offers our students a rich learning environment, challenging them to set high goals and strive for academic excellence in a truly international context. By offering Cambridge Primary, learners are provided with a broad and balanced education, helping them to thrive throughout their schooling, work, and life. With an array of subjects to choose from, learners will find plenty of opportunities to develop creativity, expression, and wellbeing in a variety of ways. The curriculum is flexible, so subjects can be tailored to what learners want to learn. Subjects can be offered in any combination and adapted to suit a learner’s context, culture, and school ethics.
As a key component of the primary school curriculum, students are offered regular opportunities to connect what happens in the classroom to the real world through educational visits. There is also an opportunity for students to experience a rich variety of co-curricular interests. At SAIS, learners may discover a potential subject, a language, a hobby, or an interest that may become a future passion. To this effect, learners will have the opportunity to join one of the many extra-curricular activities running from 3.00 to 4.00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. Students can take part in a variety of activities and events that are scheduled throughout the year at the school, such as joining a sports team, trying out for a new instrument or language, or honing their artistic abilities. There are countless options. It builds learner skills and comprehension through the elementary years in English, math, science, computing, Cambridge Global Perspectives, and STEM education.
